Technical Rescue Recruitment

Attention area firefighters, are you interested in Technical Rescue?

The Porter County Technical Rescue Team is currently looking for dedicated personnel to serve as Rescue Technicians on our county wide Technical Rescue Response Team.

Specialties of technical rescue include; High angle rope rescue, Farm Accident Rescue, Vehicle and Machinery Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Water Rescue and Urban / Wilderness Search Rescue.

The Porter County Technical Rescue Team was just recently validated as a Rope Rescue Technician Team through the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association, and is currently working on validation in Confined Space Rescue and Trench Rescue.

The team meets on the first Thursday of each month @ 7:00 PM; our next meeting is April 7 @ Washington Twp. Fire Department.
